Lady Quave ap Eiluned, Dame of the Order of the Silver Cup

The Lady Quave is a horrible person. She is a social parasite, a fearful little climber, a snob and a bore. Moreover, she is vain, insincere, superficial, short-sighted and lazy. She manages in short to encompass every unwholesome trait which commoner prejudice attributes to the sidhe overlords. Worse still, she displays them frequently in public. Unfortunately, there is no nice way of avoiding her. She is the sister of the late Lord Tybalt, and holds his former Freehold of Fair Oaks Manor. Using her society connections and the unshakeable tradition of Southern Hospitality, she has a knack for wringing invitations out of people. Lady Quave is oblivious to her unpopularity, and thinks of her social victims as dear friends and boon companions, and is careful to mention the many influential people whom she has "befriended".

Like her brother Tybalt, Quave was born in Rowan-Oak, and considers herself to be among the region's true gentry. She resents Countess Rosamund and Lady Ausmandine as carpet-bagging interlopers, the moreso because she has never been granted her own fief. On the other hand, she has managed not to ever notice how little the countess likes her. Rosamund uses Quave as an envoy, but only when dealing with someone who has especially annoyed her. The Countess takes great pains to arrange to hold fetes for times when Lady Quave is away.

Lately Quave has become more insufferable than usual, as she is being courted by a secret admirer. She is certain that this is some worthy southern gentleman who will treat her as well as she deserves. Others wonder who it is that is manipulating Lady Quave, and for what end. To date, the consensus is that it is likely some elaborate and particularly tasteless pooka prank.

Lady Quave owns a Treasure, a chimerical riding-crop of silver and ebony which can enforce a Dictum upon any mortal whom it is used to enchant. Since she is unable to obtain the services of any commoner retainers, she uses this to provide herself with a retinue, whom she dresses in chimerical livery.

In mortal seeming, Agavia Tourmain is a tall, angular socialite with the elegance and warmth of a Florentine stiletto. She variously favors expensive, tailored "power-suits" or overly sweet and girlish gowns in shades of blue or violet. In fae mien, Quave is slightly taller, with piercing grey eyes and translucent ivory skin. Her night-colored hair is gathered in a severe bun, accentuating the hauteur of her aristocratic visage. Her voile is dark and richly ornamented, but slightly dated and frumpy by the standards of the sidhe.
