Doctor Oswald Spuklisch
Professor of Physical Anthropology

Mortal Seeming: A tall, nearly attenuated, man, wearing a dark suit, out-of-style and fraying cuffs and collar that appears dusty or maybe ashy. Shaggy black hair surmounts a nearly cadaverous appearance dominated by compelling eyes of a lurid blue.

Fae Mien: As his kith is revealed his hair thins and whitens, becoming wild and untamed. His complexion becomes ashen, with sunken dark eye-sockets and mouth.

About Doctor Spuklisch: His mortal job is that of a Forensic Anthropologist, which nearly satisfies his morbid fascination with death. His joy in others' disgust, however, is never satisfied. He also has an almost insatiable 'need to know' and will compusively 'overhear' even the most innocuous conversations, often to his own disgust and boredom.

Forensic Anthropology is the application of the science of physical anthropology to the legal process. The identification of skeletal, badly decomposed, or otherwise unidentified human remains is important for both legal and humanitarian reasons. Forensic anthropologists apply standard scientific techniques developed in physical anthropology to identify human remains, and to assist in the detection of crime. Forensic anthropologists frequently work in conjunction with forensic pathologists, odontologists, and homicide investigators to identify a decedent, the manner of death, and/or the postmortem interval. In addition to assisting in locating and identifying suspicious remains, forensic anthropologists work to suggest the age, sex, ancestry, stature, and unique features of a decedent from the skeleton.
